That mandatory 'before I welcome the New Year'...
So a year’s passed yet again and here I am—full from the arroz caldo, ham, quezo de bola, and hot coco—typing away on my laptop. Yup, our media noche came early for us this year since New Year’s mass was at 6 and when we got home at around 7:30, we were really hungry.
I look back on my 2011 with no regrets, just love (Teenage Dream, 2010) and I have 11 (para maiba lang)...

Just another book appreciation post.
It’s been a while since I’ve cracked open a book so I decided to read one after I had breakfast this morning. I decided to read this
I had to think twice before reading this cause the title was a little tacky for my taste—I bought it cause the back cover was brimming with excellent reviews. One review even said “you should date this book” and after...

Life's a carnival
If I haven’t greeted you yet well, Merry Christmas. It’s the 27th but still why not spread the Christmas cheer?
My family did something new this year—we went to a carnival. Yes a carnival. It’s nothing spectacular but it was the brightest part of the area and my brother deemed it a nice place to take pictures.
Here are some of the photos:

my beautiful girl, you are asleep beside me, and despite the deep rumbles and grating gears of the passing vehicles on the highway outside our window, I feel so content, listening to your breathing, and the wind in the tall backyard tree, and...

Christmas
For the past year we’ve all been busy making ourselves known, trying to climb up the social ladder, giving importance to our own pleasures. But now it’s His time to shine.

A Bushel and a Peck
I love kids. They’re the cutest people ever especially when they sing, even off-key. Just thought of sharing some kids’ renditions of Doris Day’s A Bushel and a Peck.
This little girly’s too adorable. She singing while feeding her little brother :3
I love singing while taking a shower but I’m afraid I don’t sing as cute as this.
This little dude’s...

I always try to fit in with the rest of the world. Being with these people make me feel more wanted, more cared for, more loved.
Emotional at 1:42 in the afternoon.
“I wondered if Jeb would ever forgive me.
I wondered if I would ever stop feeling so miserable.
I wondered if Jeb felt as miserable as I did, and I surprised myself by realizing that I hoped he didn’t. I mean, I wanted him to feel a little miserable, but I didn’t want his heart to be a frozen lump of regret. He had such a good heart, which made it so confusing that he...

A Merry HIMYM Christmas c/o Robin and Ted
Amidst the hype over the Robin-Barney love story in the last two seasons of How I Met Your Mother, I’ve always been secretly rooting still for Ted and Robin. I don’t know why I guess it’s because they’ve remained close and civil even after their relationship and deep inside there’s still that hope that they’ll end up together but after watching the latest...

Who knows Angie Ligot? Yung babae na sinisiraan ang Pilipinas? The girl in the picture is not Angie Ligot herself.

“He told me he wanted a soul mate who loved reading as well so that he could share things with her.”

(Beginners 2010)
I’ve always been a fan of weird movies. Well yes I’m also into mainstream ones but the so-called “indie” ones, the ones that are often shown in film festivals are those I find gripping, raw, and very true-to-life. Luckily, as I shopped for legit pirated dvds in Metrowalked, I chanced upon the movie Beginners. The cover looked like this:
