Welcome to another movie appreciation post! But mind you this isn’t any regular movie, it’s probably my favorite one among all my favorite ones (and I happen to have lots of those). 

So what happens when you combine drama, comedy, romance, musical, Jack Kerouac with a hint of morbidity together? You get this:

If you’ve gotten this far into my post then congratulations, there’s no need for you to watch the movie anymore! Just kidding. 

The thing that I love best about this movie is its ability to make me suddenly switch from laughing to crying to laughing again. For a drama queen like me I find that difficult to do cause when I start crying, there’s no stopping but that’s how good the movie is I guess. 

Also the superb acting from Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst works magic for the film. Although I must warn you that this isn’t really like a love story. It’s probably more about family and how ironic life really is. 

The most important lesson I picked up from this movie that no matter how great the fiasco/s we’ve gone through in life, it doesn’t end there. We may find it utterly embarrassing but what we can do is wallow in the moment for about 5 minutes then move one. Life’s too short to spend most of our time feeling pity for ourselves when there’s a lot more we can do out there, like dance under the trees with one hand swaying free.
